Dear Neighbors of Friends Seminary, Thank you for your continuing engagement regarding Friends’ Redevelopment Project. We are eager to improve communication with all our neighbors. We have launched a project website at www.FriendsRedevelopment.org. On this site, you can view renderings from last night’s Community Board 6 meeting. News and information will be updated on the site regularly, so please check back often. In addition to the website, we have a dedicated information line, 646-979-5225. As a follow-up to last night’s questions, we would like to share the following information:
The proposed southwest bulkhead, which includes the James Turrell Sky Space measures 30.6 feet by 14 feet.
The proposed eastern bulkhead measures 12 feet by 26 feet.
The proposed greenhouse measures 40.6 feet by 15.6 feet.
Additionally, we would like to address questions about the planned construction schedule.
There will be no Sunday construction.
Any permitted work on Saturdays will not begin until 9 a.m. However, trades may arrive prior to set up for a prompt start at 9. Neighbors will be notified of permitted Saturday work days ahead of time.
We are currently planning another information meeting with neighbors and will notify you as soon as a date is finalized.
