Dear Neighbors,
Thank you for your ongoing patience as renovation work continues at Friends Seminary. Please know that our construction managers continue to do everything possible to mitigate dust and noise during construction work hours. Our crews are continuing the work of structural steel erection as well as demolishing the building interiors by hand, a painstaking process, to minimize noise. The safety and security of our school community and neighbors is our utmost concern.
For the next three weeks, work hours will include Saturdays (Monday through Friday 7am - 6pm, Saturday 9am – 5pm). The following is a schedule of construction activity on the Townhouse buildings (212-216 East 16th Street) for August 10 - August 31. Please note that Friends is planning to convene another community forum in early or mid September in order to update neighbors on construction activities.
