At approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning work was put on hold when construction workers made contact with a gas line on 16th Street. A site safety manager for the construction team alerted supervisors, and within minutes of being notified, ConEdison was onsite to repair the line. No gas utility service was affected. However, 16th Street between Third Avenue and Rutherford Place was closed to vehicular traffic during the repair window.
