Construction Activity for June 1

With only three months until project completion in August, one of the final remaining infrastructure improvements is the installation of a 470 square foot greenhouse learning center atop the School’s roof. The installation process will take approximately six weeks to complete and is not anticipated to be a particularly noisy operation.

On Saturday, June 1, a mobile hydraulic crane is planned to be onsite to lift greenhouse materials on to the School’s roof. The crane work is a one-day operation requiring a full street closure. Notices are being placed today along 16th Street advising drivers that the street will be temporarily closed this Saturday while work is underway.

Pedestrians will be able to traverse 16th Street between Third Avenue and Rutherford Place with the assistance of certified flag persons who will be present during all operations.

Work Hours:

Please note that this operation will observe the standard Saturday work hours of 9 AM - 5 PM. However, to ensure an efficient operation, construction personnel will be onsite starting at 8 AM to mobilize the work area ahead of activity commencing at 9 AM. Beginning at 5 PM, when work concludes, construction personnel will demobilize the site and reopen the street.
